Between Stronghold 3 and Sword of the Stars II, I have set fire to 100$ this wk
[quote name="WITTGENSTEIN"]Stronghold 3 - Imagine you made a city builder sim in the vein of Zeus/Pharaoh etc. with a focus on fortification building. Then imagine that the retard you hired to manage the tables didn't know how to divide. You'd wind up with a game where it takes forever to stockpile enough stone to build a single wall, a farm feeds less people than it takes to work its fields, and you're constantly suffering shortages everywhere. And there's no fast forward button either. This is fucking embarrassing. Sword of the Stars II - I can at least see where they were trying to go with this. Last night they released the beta version instead of the retail version. Then they uploaded the actual retail version, which was just as bad as the beta version, then they said with a straight face "This IS the retail version". Fucking shit. At the moment it's like being an IGN reviewer at a preview playthrough. All the parts work, but they're not wrapped together real well. The data is so compressed it takes at least 30-45 seconds to switch between windows (I am not even fucking joking, try starting a new game and see how long you're sitting there waiting), there's no tooltips for ANYTHING, and the entire goddamn thing is crash-prone.
