I asked him why and he couldn't come up with a reason besides "I wanted to try developing on it" although another coworker who is <i>not</i> an idiot has written Android apps without rooting his phone. The idiot guy also uses a Facebook app that posts a "deal of the day" as his status every day. He will never ever develop anything on any phone.
