Forum Overview :: Gamerasutra :: So who is going to PAX in Boston, 2011?
Maybe you just LIVE in Boston, then, and aren't going to PAX, like me. Well, this message is for you. I submitted a (very) short demo of how animals get their dicks caved in for my upcoming game, Cryptozookeeper, to the IF Demo Faire. What is the IF Demo Faire?
We have 23 pieces, including interactive poetry, journalism, and documentary; experiments with styles of interaction that go beyond the puzzle, and modes of input other than the standard parser form; new prototype authoring tools; and new interpreters, both serious and whimsical.
23 pieces! YE FLASKS will be GOTTEN.
The IF Demo Fair will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, in the Alcott conference room at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel adjacent to PAX East 2011 (map). No PAX badge is required to attend. This is an IF community event sponsored by the People’s Republic of Interactive Fiction.
I don't know where any of that stuff is except for a vague idea of "Boston" but my belief is that it's not very far from PAX itself. Anyway, check it out and enjoy the FUTURE of GAMING except for MINECRAFT and probably DUKE. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
