Appeal: denied!
I thought I would appeal the ban, and begin the process of getting SchuminWeb fired. In order to add a degree of difficulty to it, I was going to get him fired for being a terrible admin, as opposed to a terrible person.
Request reason: I am appealing this block, because it is a case of WP:ADMINABUSE on the part of SchuminWeb. Allow me to give you the full story. Several years ago, Ben Schumin's website was linked to by the (now defunct) web portal called "Portal of Evil." The users of that site made fun of him, as they did everyone the portal linked to. (I only knew of this after the fact.) Unable to separate his role as an admin for Wikipedia with his personal life, he recently nominated the Wikipedia page on Portal of Evil for deletion, which went through with an absolute minimum of discussion. Ben Schumin then attempted to do the same thing for the page on the website "Old Man Murray," which was a site created by the same man who created Portal of Evil. In this case, SchuminWeb's egregious unprofessionalism was noticed by the posters of a video game forum, who are rightfully calling him on his very clear and very obvious abuse of power. Schumin has no interest in building an encyclopedia for everyone to use. His interests lie clearly in a vendetta. This brings us to why he blocked me. Ben Schumin had been attaching the spa tags to many contributors attempting to reach a reasonable consensus on the Old Man Murray deletion discussion. He did so to me. I was more than happy to edit more pages on the Wikipedia, and in fact, if you look at my contributions, they were all valid and none of them have been reverted. Schumin was unhappy with the order in which I edited pages and called it 'vandalism.' I didn't link my contribs page anywhere; he went looking for it, decided that the page order was insulting to him, and blocked me. The page order! I can't think of any clearer example of a continued, sustained abuse of admin power. I would like to be unblocked (I won't edit pages in a order that people may find objectionable in the future) and I'd like to begin the process of SchuminWeb losing the administrator privileges he is clearly abusing. Sandstein 19:49, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
This is Wikipedia in a nutshell. Some disgusting manorc with the world's largest tie-dye bans you, you explain why he did it, and then a literal German-speaking, goosestepping Nazi cocksucker comes by, ignores all that and drops a random assortment of letters that follow "WP:".
