Just to clarify
I'm mental, yes, but I never took a creative writing class. THE PLOT THICKENS! Or not, since I just read all the stupid fucking shit my numbskull roommate brought home from HIS creative writing class. Your class sounds awful, but honestly not worse than the one he took. Go ahead and post whatever crap you might still have from that, my hand's feeling a lot better and I bet I could knock a hole in this here wall. maybe I'd better check to see where the studs are . . . Probably the most outrageous thing I've ever encountered in a college creative writing class, though, was out and out plagiarism. I was in highschool and my Mom was getting her degree (after long years of being just a Mom with no college diploma) and kicking academic ass and taking scholastic names. She was on some comittee for some fairly well-respected journal and it was her job to read a bunch of shitty creative writing submissions and judge their worth. (Actually, now that I recall, there might have been a couple in there that were pretty okay. I wonder if she still has them somewhere so I could check on this . . .) Anyway, one guy stole an entire chapter almost word for word from Neuromancer. The words he didn't steal from William Gibson came directly from R. Talsorian Games Cyberpunk. My Mom had an inkling that this was plagiarized shit from a variety of little clues, but I had read the one and played the other and told her about it. It just blew my mind. What if it got accepted? What part of it did he think he made up? Buh?
