I just know that the operating system has gone south on me in the past (though I've not done too much with XP) whenever I've switched out major components w/o doing a total reinstall (even after removing old drivers and installing new ones as per directed). I based the XP assumption on whatever MS is using to help it recognize your computer hardware during the activation stage.[/quote]
