Oh the injustice. I would have had more sympathy if his email didn't read like it was written by an angry 13 year old. Outside tasteless web forums, swearing and unfounded accusations of sloth are considered rude and inappropriate behavior, especially in instances where you're trying to send constructive criticism. Is Mr. Lovell supposed to be a hero that was wronged in some way here? That was a stupid, rude e-mail and he should have gotten some flak for it.
