You only use one personality on the internet? You're missing out on all the fun. "Mischief Maker" and my many many other nicks are all fictional characters and there's no need for a Mischief Maker in caltrops mode at a site for an indie game that I'm a slavish fanboy of. Like the joy that a simple word processor evoked in Belbo, the joy of being able to take on and remove and remake characters in a semi-static community has been what's kept me returning to OMM/Clatrops while flat user-login-required EVERYBODY FOLLOW THE RULES SO WE CAN HAVE AN INTELLIGENT DISCUSSION places quickly lost my interest. Who needs complicated codexing-editing subroutines to generate interest when there's an infinite source of imagination and joy in free-form-forums? One moment I'm a vicious waspy imp stinging the admins of my forum. The next minute I'm a mad playwrite stringing together the romances and tribulations of the forum into satires on modern entertainment. The next moment I've disappeared and take on a completely new nick and fight my way from lurker to fatcat all over again. I create two new personalities who have vicious battles on hot-button issues that rile up the entire forum, and just when you think the weaker nick is about to fall, it turns around and soundly trumps the superior nick. I can defeat my enemies... by BECOMING my enemies. Someone suggests that there are cryptic clues in the alliterative names of my alternate nicks that allow them to track my shadow exploits? Sounds fun to me, I incorporate that. Someone suggests that I am a real-life homosexual? Ta-DA! I'm the most fabulous asspirate in the world, only your ass bores me because you already came with that hole. Vag says I'm a fat chick who's fun in the sack? Let's give it a try. The joys of switching skins and names. Of being legion and being nothing. Of turning from morally outraged crusader to flitting pixie. Are you really fine with just being the concrete and unswerving FABs?[/quote]
