Wait, you're comparing unhopped cider to hopped beer

EXAMPLE: Mrs. oK needed some Applejack for a recipe a couple of weeks ago. She only needed a few ounces but it only comes in a fifth... OH WELL I GUESS I'LL DRINK IT (team player). Apparently Applejack is fermented applejuice mixed in with low-grade "grain alcohol." It was... okay tasting. Kind of like cheap whiskey with apple juice in it. I still enjoyed drinking it because it had a very beautiful color and it looked fabulous over ice. Lite beer in a glass has no flavor whatsoever and is aesthetically uglier than lite beer in a can. It goes from being a refreshing (but alcoholic) water-like beverage in an ice-cold can to being an off-putting light yellow liquid that reminds you over and over that it's not as good as what you would prefer to be drinking out of the same glass.
Look, there was a time I turned up my nose at cheap beers and malt liquors, but that does not change their chemical consistency. Cans do better than bottles with what I am saying, but the fact remains that head in a glass prevents oxidation of the alpha acids better than a can or a bottle. If you can't taste it, hey great, it would certainly explain why you like Blue Moon.
