It's time for both of you who have PS3s to get Demon's Souls
[quote name="Lizard_King"]It's officially past nerdy import into fetishized by morons and normal people alike territory. That means it's time to pick it up before Atlus horribly underestimates or somehow fucks up this print run, or somebody you absolutely can't stand endorses the game to you and forces you to rule it out. Like I said back in the day about the Asian version, it combines survival horror, genuinely tactical action combat (but not twitch reflex, although it seems that way at first), roguelikes, and the best "storytelling via level design" I've seen in a long time. The multiplayer is strange as shit, thanks mainly to the PS3's insistence on having muteness as the default state. But it fits in with the setting of the game, and makes multiplayer feel like a streamlined part of the main game instead of a separate experience. Think of the floating spirits in Fable II, except implemented intelligently and with an adversarial component at times. Also, it's probably time for a Demon's Souls subforum, so I can be trolled more effectively by people who don't even own consoles and refuse to accept RPGs that aren't iterative builds of Baldur's Gate.
