The blame for police deaths must be placed on Batman. If only there was someone who had recently murdered a bunch of innocents they could have shifted the blame to...*tosses arms up* well <i>I,</i> can't think of anyone! If you're going to make a villain whose draw is that he's just an ordinary person who can fuck with your head, you should probably make that head fucking believable and not just give him magic boogeyman powers to be everywhere at once with tons of explosives. <i>Hannibal</i> was a lame movie when they replaced the smart head fucking with teleporting and knives. It took psycho Anakin longer to turn to the dark side than it did for idealist Harvey Dent to also try murdering children. A deformed face is all it takes to instantly turn evil with magic powers, magic powers that can only be combated with unlimited wiretapping instead of regular police work and we'll only use it against criminals and totally shut it down once we catch the bad guys we swear. This wasn't just a mindless comic book movie. It was trying hard to be VERY VERY SMART WITH PROFOUND COMMENTARY but the only thing it succeeded at was finally making a Batman movie ridiculously inappropriate for children. [/quote]
