What part of Bushwick and what year?

The week before she started, a teacher in her school called the AAA guy to come fix her flat tire and the AAA guy was shot dead in front of her by some guys that liked his shoes. Bushwich is extremely ghetto. One time we stepped off the train at the wrong station and had to walk like 20 blocks to the school, and I swear that 3/4s of the store fronts were selling stolen televisions and car stereos. Smart hipsters* crib in Bay Ridge, which has an express bus to Manhattan and is mob-controlled; there's no small-time crime going on there whatsoever. You can walk wherever you want at 3am and no one will bother you because muggers are too afraid they'll accidentally bother somebody who's connected. *8)
I live right on the Williamsburh/Bushwick border right now (Montrose) and while it's not the BEST neighborhood it doesn't seem to match your description. A couple blocks south along the JMZ is a fucking hole though. I lived there for a month when I first moved and in the first week there was a murder/suicide at the housing project across the street. It was a pretty odd suicide considering the guy was shot in the head AND chest.
