Re: My Dell is several years old and has not had a hiccup

You really need to upgrade your vid card first. You're going to want to run at 1600x1200 minimum to avoid scaling. -/ES/-
The video card is a 7800 GTX! You're saying I'd be better off upgrading that? I was going to get a new processor and RAM as well, just not yet. The main benefit, to me, in getting the monitor first is that it allows me to test the text game I'm making on a wide screen monitor, and it will make my Xbox seem like a brand new console. This is enough to hold me over for quite some time. Here are my current stats. (I'd use Steam to profile my system, but it's been a while since I've logged in, and I don't have enough time to go through the two thousand ads they are going to show me, with Donkey.bas and such being half-off.) AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.42 Ghz, 2.00 GB of RAM Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX Human Interface Devices: [Prototype]-breaking Logitech Trackball For professional reasons, I would prefer to go forward with Intel, since at no point were they an enormous cocksucker to me. For personal reasons, the trackball is non-negotiable. =( ICJ
