Re: I found archives of the first 9 months

I saw people using a forum I'd sunk an awful lot of time and effort into for the purpose of constantly deriding me and calling my wife a whore because she'd dared to commit the outrage of not being a virgin when she met me. How many of you can honestly say that you are your significant other's ONLY sexual partner, ever?
That's right, thanks for calling us on our hypocritical, puritan standards.
Similarly, I think it's time for people to stop calling each other "fags". It hurts, and each time it's said, someone gets a little closer to calling the DMCA.
The DMCA is not an organization you call, it is (amongst many other nasty things) an Act of Congress passed in 1998 under Bill Clinton that you customarily cite when requesting the removal of your copyrighted content from an ISP or webhost, because its shared-punishments for service providers clause scares them shitless. A cursory glance through Slashdot will provide you with countless stories of geeks doing something a corporation - or sometimes an individual - didn't like with that corporation/individual's intellectual property. A simple boilerplate letter from a lawyer later, in 99% of all cases the webhost or ISP just pulled the account entirely, often without possibility of reinstatement. Your tiny monthly fee isn't worth a successful judgement against them that could easily rack up into the millions of dollars. A few examples. --SB
This isn't an argument to heel to your command, you psycho fascist; it's an argument to move to a Swedish server.
