But you were doing it so nicely this whole time: you looked at something that interested you (icycalm), figured out some of what made it so interesting (infuriating and unjustified arrogance), evaluated its relevant lineage (Schopenhauer), and decided, without being told by anyone, and going only from your own experience, that the whole shebang was mostly retarded. Icy reads Schopenhauer and believes everything he reads therein <i>because Schopenhauer wrote it.</i> He decides in advance that people are right, <i>then</i> parrots their thoughts and positions unthinkingly. It is exactly like the other kind of textual parrot, the religious fundamentalist: he believes the Bible is God's word, therefore it is infalliable.
