Datsun made rusty hatchbacks, not hummel figurines :(

Well this is my point -- the only people driving antique cars are enthusiasts, ex-mechanics, and your mom.
I want to see the meeting of first-generation Nissan Pulsar enthusiasts. On second thought, no I don't. Does this guy EVEN know what a goldmine he's sitting on?! Still, I can kinda guess how your thought process worked here: "I know what I paid for a worn-out denim jacket at one of Toronto's many fine vintage clothing stores, imagine how much a worn-out CAR from the same period must be worth!"
So once the junkman locates a 1979 Datsun distributor...
I'm going to (retroactively) stop you right there. Junkmen don't "locate" parts unless there's real money in it for them. Usually, they just give you some vague directions, then you have to walk around, find the car you're looking for, take out the part you need, and bring it back to the office to check out.
...does he install it too?
No. That's something you do, generally in the parking lot. If you fuck something up or just get too frustrated, take advantage of the fact you're already at a junkyard and walk away!
