Thief 3 is bearable, and Riddick
The framerate is horrible, the levels are still bitsize, it makes less sense here than in Invisible War (if there is any gameplay reason to start with) because those level transition areas effective give you a free closet to store bodies/corpses, those areas are always dark and has zero patrol. At least it isn't a borefest as in Thief 2. The sneaking stuff is more or less the same as in previous games, but there are enough variations in level design to keep the lurking fun, unlike the straightforward break-in-fancy-house routine in T2, and a bit more like T1. Which sadly means it offers no great improvement in gameplay over T1. The new stuffs in T3 are pretty forgetable: the city is just another level with wanderers, and doing favours for the factions only slightly help your progress thru the game. The most scary level is also the most annoying level (spoiler). You have to do a whole lot of fetch quests for a girl ghost in an empty orphanage. The girl warns you: if you get caught (by ghosts instead of the usual guards, this is Warren Spector's way of variation) you can't use flashbomb or anything to get away, you have to start the fetch quest from the beginning again. No kid, I just press quickload. The stealth gameplay in Riddick is actually fun. It rewards you with brutal silent kill animations, but it does not punish you for using guns and stuff. Although unreasonable behaviour of guards do happen, but what should you make of it when you as Riddick slaughtered an entire division of guards and all you are condemned to is... a cyro-sleep?
