You either have it, or you don't.
I argue with my friends about this all the time. They use the "I'm-not-a-loser" defense for why they suck at video games, claiming that anyone could get awesome at them if they spent enough time at it. I used this defense myself, until I found guys on the old Halo 2 stat boards that had fewer games played than me but a kill/death ratio of 3.0 and a win percentage of like 75. While I do buy into Billy Mitchell's argument that "it's in the genes" I have to wonder what makes him less dominant at recent games, like Pac-Man C.E. A different skill set maybe? Another thing I've noticed is that nobody will ever admit to sucking at a game, especially not on the Internet. On the Internet everyone is a godlike being who destroys all before him, in real life these are the type of guys who blame their teammates or the controller for why they're getting destroyed. I'd like to buck that trend by saying: I'm extremely bad at all forms of video game, despite the fact that I enjoy them and play them a lot, and I don't even have the patience to be a completionist. I'm the type of guy whose fun is ruined by winning too much because I feel bad for my opponent.
