An explorer game with a dude in fins and a submarine for the artwork, and out of early access eh? I'm in. Boot it up, and it starts as you crash on a planet and so you start swimming around, and learn life's a bitch. Not that the biting fish are a prolem at all. It's this damn replicator on your escape pod, and it makes shit and requires shit, shit you need by swimming. Down into deep caves, could be fun! But you have to craft your flippers and scuba tank, so life's a bitch. It's all the unpleasant parts of every other FPS, doing shit and constantly having to be watching your damn Oxygen meter.
But I did it! I collected the ore in the cave, swimming back and forth to the surface gulping air many many times, but finally found all the shit to make my scuba tank. Already sick of the gagging breathing sound, and glad I'll never have to hear it again, I click to craft my tank. And it gives me 30 seconds of air. WTF?
I check... and there's another upgraded tank with a whole another 30 seconds of air after this one I can look forward to! O boy wow yes how exciting.
Let me tell you something, when Jacques Custeau got his hands on the first early model prototype scuba gear, and if the joker who made it told him he'd get a whole 30 seconds of air, Jacques would have laughed in his face and dumped the tank in the garbage. And then dropped on top of that the fins that add a whole %15 to swim speed. Junk! Back to the drawing board, asshole, and I'll be over here in my Diver Dan outfit.
The thought of hundreds of hours swimming to the godamned surface, and what's already happened, death, being two goddamn seconds too slow lollygagging to the surface and losing progress? WTF kind of godamned scuba diving game is this anyway?
I'm just gonna assume everything else you get to build here in this game is barely functioning junk and just uninstall now.
Curse those psychopaths and masochists and their damned Steam Reviews! |
