THAT BEING SAID, the last game I played was Wolfenstein (2009). It had exactly two female characters. One was the leader of the local resistance who gave me jobs to do and told me what a big man I was after I did them. She got kidnapped towards the end and guess who had to rescue her? The other was a recurring enemy type that dressed like a dominatrix and attacked with a whip that shot green energy balls (sexually aggressive women: second only to spiders on the list of shit games designers find terrifying). As a reasonably straight, exceedingly pale man, these representations bothered me - because they were boring as fuck! They're cliches that were lame when Double Dragon came out and they haven't gotten any fresher. I'm sure there's someone out there they appeal to, but all I have to say to that guy is "please stop making every game" and "help I forgot which button is crouch." |
