But even that pales in comparison to the fact that you can only build four motherfucking units. I could make infantry dude with gun, infantry dude with rocket, and infantry dude with laser. That's it. Hey I'll just upgrade my base and research the tech tree. Except you can't! In what has to be the most retarded case of "full functionality" yet, in order to build more than 4 units in a motherfucking RTS game, you must play a bunch of games and accumulate "experience" to "level up" so you can unlock the "privilege" of being able to build more than one hand's worth of units. It's not even a case of BF2142 where you get half a dozen unlocks in your first 15 minutes. 4 games in and I still haven't hit level 2! If you were wondering how they were planning on topping the anachronistic mess of C&C3, the answer is: with motherfucking bullshit. How on Earth did Bobby Fisher manage to become a chess grand master if he had to work his way up with only pawns unlocked? |
